Easter Sunday. Ryan mucks about with the tube thing that my mum bought him - it’s proper name is the Karruga horn and it has a range of 5 different notes! So you could play a tune on it by varying the speed at which you swing it....in theory that is. Ryan’s elephant impression reminds me of one of my favourite sayings - “ Trunkie want a bun?” It is used as an obscure rebuff to a person caught eavesdropping on someone else’s conversation. So maybe it’s all those buns that are making Helen’s tummy so big?

We took Ryan to Zippo’s Circus on Blackheath this afternoon. His favourite bits were the budgie act, and getting his light-ball-wand-thingy. A friend took me to Zippo’s about 15 years ago and I had really enjoyed it - BMX riders and skateboarders performing instead of animals. This time Helen and I weren’t very impressed though. It all seemed a bit shabby, but then we had watched Cirque Du Soleil’s show “Alegria” on dvd the night before, so I suppose we had been spoilt.
